May 30, 2012 by Abhay

A lot of iPhone user’s are facing problems while downgrading/restoring their device to  either stock or custom firmware. This problem occurs when an unsigned firmware is used.

When apple releases a new firmware, it stops signing ECID of any previous firmwares.

To fix this error just follow these simple steps :

1. Download the latest version of TinyUmbrella for Windows/Mac.

2. Click on the Advanced tab and uncheck the Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit option.

3. Close TinyUmbrella and reboot your computer.

4. Open iTunes and and try restoring it again.

And you are done! Enjoy your new firmware!

I hope this worked for you!
